Xiamen Airport is one of the Top 10 airports and the 4th busiest airport for entry & exit in China being linked to 71 location round world. It has opened 22 international/regional air routes including flights to HK, Macao, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Singapore, Kula Lumpur, Penang, Manila, Bangkok, Yabi, and Kuching as well as air cargo services to Chicago, Los Angles and Nagoya.

Xiamen Airport's passenger throughput totaled over 5.57 million in 2004, ranking one of top cities in China in terms of international passengers amount and domestic passegers amount.

The State Post Bureau has rated Xiamen as one of the five biggest national hub ports. There are scheduled post flights everyday between Xiamen and Shanghai, bringing about countrywide mail exchange. Xiamen Airport handled 150,200 tons of airmail freight in 2003, ranking the 8th in China.

Xiamen Airport has Grade I & II Warehouse under Customs, providing integrated service of cargo delivery taking & making, customs brokering and inspection, and distribution.
